April 13, 2026 -— Following the recent announcement of an $18,000 Louisiana Main Street Technical Assistance Grant awarded to Abbeville Main Street, the Community Brand Development project is now entering its next phase.
Community input is a key part of this process.
Residents, business owners, and visitors are invited to participate in a short online survey designed to gather feedback on how Downtown Abbeville should be represented. The survey focuses on capturing the community’s voice to help shape a brand that reflects the city’s culture, history, and identity.

This input will directly inform the development of a unified brand identity aimed at strengthening Downtown Abbeville’s visibility, supporting local businesses, and enhancing community pride.

October 8, 2025 Funding has been awarded through Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and Louisiana Main Street to support downtown revitalization efforts across the state. This second round of Technical Assistance Grants was made possible by a $450,000 legislative appropriation for Fiscal Year 2025–2026.
As part of this announcement, Abbeville Main Street has been awarded $18,000 to support a Community Brand Development project through the Louisiana Main Street Technical Assistance Grant Program.
The project will focus on creating a unified brand identity for Downtown Abbeville, celebrating the city’s character, attracting visitors, and supporting the small businesses that make the heart of Abbeville so vibrant.
“Louisiana’s Main Street communities are the heartbeat of our towns and cities,” said Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser. “By awarding these grants, we’re helping communities strengthen their downtowns, support small businesses, and create places that both residents and visitors want to experience.”
This investment aligns with Abbeville’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community pride and economic vitality through the Louisiana Main Street Four Points Approach:
