Meet the Future Leaders of Our Community: The Mayor’s Youth Council!

At the November 5th city council meeting, 16 students from within our parish were officially sworn in as the very first 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫’𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥! These remarkable young leaders come from diverse backgrounds, different schools, and various districts within and around Abbeville, bringing fresh perspectives and passion to our community.
These students are our future, and it’s so important to involve them in city government to help shape a brighter tomorrow. We are beyond thrilled to see what this year holds and are eager to support their journey in making a positive impact.
Please join us in congratulating them on this incredible achievement and for paving the way for youth involvement in Abbeville!
