Mission Statement
In partnership with our citizens, Abbeville Parks and Recreation Department strives in providing our community with safe, clean, and accessible parks and facilities; along with diverse recreation and leisure opportunities that will enhance the overall quality of life for current residents, visitors and future generations.
The Vision
To provide parks and recreation programming and opportunities that serve all ages of citizens in Abbeville and Vermilion Parish with recreation, leisure and social outlets.
*Recreation and organized sports are overseen by Quality Sport Authority
Reserving use of a Park
Magdalen Square
- This is a great space to have a wedding or other event.
- Contact City Hall to schedule your date.
- There is no fee, but a set of rules must be signed and followed to use the square.
A.A. Comeaux Park
To reserve the use of A.A. Comeaux Park’s pavilions, including access to the bathroom and water.
- Contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 337-898-4242.
- You’ll need to schedule a date and sign an agreement along with a small refundable deposit.
