Fishing for Scholarships

Join the South Louisiana Mid-Winter Fair for our third annual Fishing for Scholarships fishing rodeo, benefitting the University of Louisiana at Lafayette! The Mid-Winter Fair LLC has been a proud supporter of the University for years, hosting our annual rodeo at Blackham Coliseum. We have expanded our impact on UL Lafayette students and taken the competition to the waters!

The community is also invited to join in on the fun! There will be free entertainment the Friday and Saturday of the tournament, along with a live auction and awards on Saturday night, and fun jumps for kids. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. No drink ice chests will be allowed and bringing your own lawn chair is recommended.
Thursday, July 18
Competition begins at daybreak
– No weigh in on Thursday
Friday, July 19
3:00 – 8:00 pm: Weigh In
7:00 – 10:00 pm: Live music by Southern Bayou Band
Saturday, July 20
3:00 – 7:00 pm: Weigh In
3:00 – 6:00 pm: Live music by Blast from the Past, Wesley Lemaire, and King Floyd
6:00 – 7:00 pm: Live Auction & Awards
7:00 – 10:00 pm: Live music by Tet Dur
