Abbeville, La. — Funding has been awarded through Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and Louisiana Main Street to support downtown revitalization efforts across the state. This second round of Technical Assistance Grants was made possible by a $450,000 legislative appropriation for Fiscal Year 2025–2026.

As part of this announcement, Abbeville Main Street has been awarded $18,000 to support a Community Brand Development project through the Louisiana Main Street Technical Assistance Grant Program.

The project will focus on creating a unified brand identity for Downtown Abbeville, celebrating the city’s character, attracting visitors, and supporting the small businesses that make the heart of Abbeville so vibrant.

“Louisiana’s Main Street communities are the heartbeat of our towns and cities,” said Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser. “By awarding these grants, we’re helping communities strengthen their downtowns, support small businesses, and create places that both residents and visitors want to experience.”

This investment aligns with Abbeville’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community pride and economic vitality through the Louisiana Main Street Four Points Approach:

• Design: Enhancing visual appeal and preserving historic character
