BUILDING PERMITS
When Do I Need A Building Permit?
A homeowner or business is required to apply for a building permit before construction begins on a home or business. This includes, but is not limited to, new construction, additions, renovations, moving a structure (mobile home, shed, etc.), installing a generator, and/or boring.Â

A golf cart permit is required to drive a golf cart within city limits.

To host a special event on city of Abbeville property, a Special Events Permit is required.
OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE
When Do I Need an Occupational License?
Occupational licenses are required when opening a business within the Abbeville City limits. This includes but is not limited to, storefront business, online business, door-to-door sales, etc.
