We are thrilled to announce that the City of Abbeville has received an “A” rating for the third year in a row in the Louisiana water system grading. This accomplishment reflects the city’s continued commitment to providing safe, high-quality drinking water to our residents.
The water system grade is determined by the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) based on seven standards: federal water quality, state violations, infrastructure, operation and maintenance, financial sustainability, customer satisfaction, and secondary contaminants. The grading system ensures accountability and helps maintain the sustainability of our water systems.
This year’s “A” rating is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Abbeville Water Department team. Special thanks to Supervisor Maire Buteaux, Randal Broussard, Virginia Kelly, Chris Landry, and Archie Harris, whose efforts ensure our water system continues to meet the highest standards of safety and reliability.
The City of Abbeville is proud of this achievement, and we remain committed to providing excellent service to our community.
